It all began in 1981 when Renee LaBeau and her late husband Bob bought a drive-in in Garden City, Utah. Renee was always interested in the food industry, and combining that with her son Brent LaBeau's fast-food experience they went to work.
At first the business was slow, but each year following the pace quickened as the customers kept coming. The business in Bear Lake is seasonal, only open from May to October and Renee still runs that store.
The business has been featured in articles in the New York Time, The Los Angles Times, The Salt Lake Magazine, and The Sunset Magazine.
In November 1988 the LaBeau's location in Logan, Utah opened and is still in its original spot 165 East 1400 North. Brent and his family run the business in Logan. The business has come along way since it first opened with a few sandwiches and 20 shakes to choose from. The menu today has 40 sandwiches and 46 shakes. The most popular shake is the Raspberry Shake and our seasonal shakes of Pumpkin Pie, Candy Cane, and The Grinch have become customer favorites.
